What do I need to do:
- Must live or work in Tasmania
- Have a reasonable level of English – you can test your self here
- You will need to have mic and camera or a smart phone, a hard hat, goggles and safety vest. We can post the gear to you for $50
- Complete the course online
- Successfully complete the assessment (don’t worry you can have as many turns as you like we won’t charge you for extra attempts)
What will I learn:
The Construction industry in Tasmania has one of the highest injury rates. In Tasmania, construction workers have a high chance of being injured from heavy lifting, falling and being hit my moving objects like trucks and machinery. This makes the construction site a dangerous environment.
The Construction White Card course will teach you what safety on a construction site looks like, how to read safety signs, what to do if you come across a hazards, what to do in an emergency and how to wear personal protective equipment like goggles, vests and a hard hard.
The course is based on the national qualification CPCCWHS1001. Once you your certificate you will need to complete this form and take it to a Service Tasmania office to receive your card.
